I do like to photograph dogs in their own homes because I feel the dogs are more comfortable and act more naturally. It is however not without it’s challenges. If studio-like photos are wanted one has to find a space with as few obstructions as possible. Then if photos of multiple dogs are wanted in the same frame it introduces a ┬áseries of challenges, probably most notably having all the dogs looking as you would like at the same time.

For this shoot I was lucky in that the subjects were tea-cup Yorkies. I did not need to find a lot of space because of their size. I found this marble table I quite liked as it offered a nice sheen and reflection which added interest to the photos I think.
